Scottsboro's new curbside recycling program became official Monday evening, a week after tensions flared up a bit at the city council meeting.

A Skyline man remained in the Jackson County Jail Monday morning on an $82,500 bond, after allegedly assaulting his wife.

Candidates for local office will take the stage tonight at 7 p.m. in the auditorium Scottsboro High School to answer questions about the office each is seeking.
